Award-winning actor George Clooney became one of the world’s most famous bachelors following the end of his first marriage to actress Talia Balsam.
He told Barbara Walters in 1995 that he wouldn’t marry again after his first marriage ended.
George and Balsam tied the knot in 1989 but ended their marriage in 1993 after being together for four years. During that time, George preferred to keep his romantic relationships private and consistently denied any rumors connecting him to Croatian model Monika Jaksic and actress Katie Holmes.
His co-stars were getting married, but he decided not to. However, his plans changed when he met Amal Clooney, whom he eventually married despite his initial vow against it.
